PFI Freediver
Study first, then the pool, then open water. The first card goes to 20 m or 66 ft.
This wiki is not a course. Water skills belong with a qualified instructor and a trained buddy.
PFI lets you complete the classroom work online, then you meet an instructor for a dry workshop, confined water, and open water. The water days are the part that makes the card.
The course names buddy skills, breathing for the dive and the surface, equalisation, kit, and the first physics and physiology. Pool work includes a minute-thirty static hold. Open water includes constant-weight and free-immersion dives to at least 10 m.
You need swimming or snorkeling experience, good health, and you must be 10 or older with a guardian if you are under the adult age they set.
