PADI courses
A wide shop network. Basic Freediver first, then Freediver if you want open water.
This wiki is not a course. Water skills belong with a qualified instructor and a trained buddy.
PADI says freediving looks simple and is not. An untrained diver can hurt ears, sinuses, and lungs, or lose consciousness in the water. A qualified instructor is the place to learn.
Basic Freediver is for people 12 and older in confined water. It is a subset of Freediver. Freediver asks you to swim 200 metres or 200 yards, untimed, any stroke. Skin Diver exists for younger snorkelers from age 8.
First kit they name: mask, snorkel, fins, a belt when you need one, and a wetsuit when the water is cold. Many centres have kit to borrow for the class.
